We've got a lot of terrific sponsors for our annual run in the mountains. Almost all have been with us for at least the last twenty years. That's a lot of years people. We want to make special note of these generous individuals and businesses that support us and make this race happen each year, and we ask that you keep them in mind when you're off running errands but wishing you were running mountains instead.
Title sponsor of Big T since at least 1992
121 Sandoval St., downtown Santa Fe
Owners Harvey and Reserl Chalker opened Alpine Sports back in 1964 as Santa Fe's first specialty ski retailer. They've been at their present location on Sandoval St for forty years where they've expanded their inventory to include backcountry and cross-country ski offerings, as well as a full line of trail running shoes - including Salomon, Tecnica, Patagonia, TrekSta and North Face.
187 Paseo de Peralta, in the De Vargas Mall
The sister restaurant to the San Francisco St. Bar & Grill which has been a long time sponsor of the Striders, Big Tesuque, and May's Santa Fe Run Around for 20+ years. The Santa Fe Bar & Grill is located at the De Vargas Mall off of Paseo de Peralta. Their financial support aids in the purchase of awards and race goodies including our breakfast burritos. Think of them the next time you head out to eat or to buy a friend a gift certificate. Support those who support you.
1364 Rufina Cir., just past Siler Rd on Cerrillos
Michael Shea and the folks down at Santa Fe Screenprinters have been taking care of our event t-shirt, hats, caps, etc. needs for the last twenty years. In fact, they've been screenprinting shirts for all Striders events for at least this long. They're terrific to work with, and we're proud to say that they've been a big part of our events for so long.
821 W. San Mateo Rd., Santa Fe
Crash out on the descent? That's why we have a Rocky Mountain EMS unit stationed at the finish line. They've been with us for each Big T race stretching back for at least twenty years. That's a lot of cut up hands and knees to look at. Thank you for being there to patch us up and send us on our way.
1201 Parkway Dr., Santa Fe
Souder, Miller & Associates are both financial and logistical supporters of the race since 1992. Race director Peter Fant is a principal at the firm. Their gracious financial support allows for coolers of breakfast burritos, coffee, and delicious chai tea on race day.
527 W. Cordova Rd., Santa Fe
The Hub is the only specialty running store in northern New Mexico. John has been with us a sponsor since opening on Manhattan Ave. back in 2001, (the shop is now on Cordova). He's also a four time finisher. In addition to providing certificates for our winners, they provide equipment (and many a Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary gift) to most of our runners, a discount to Striders Club members, and a place to pick up and return entries for Club sponsored events. Love these guys.
339 W. Manhattan Ave., Santa Fe
Our newest event sponsor, coming on in 2012. Their gracious financial support allows for coolers of breakfast burritos, coffee, and delicious chai tea on race day.
